Whereas Gideon Hammon of Scituate aforesaid Yeoman Departed this life on ye 7th Day of This Instant and Died Intestate and Hannah Hammon Widow of ye said Gideon Hamman appearing this day in Council prays that Letters of Administration of the personall Estate of her said Deceased Husband Might be granted to her Wereupon it is Voted that Letters of Administration of ye personall Estate of ye said Gideon Hammoan Dec'd. be granted to the said Hannah Hammon upon then giving Bond for the Sureties for the True Performance thereof and she promised Amos Hamman and Hezekiah Hamman both of said Scituate her Sureties who same accepted
And the Said Hannah Hamman Exhibited an Inventory of ye Personall Estate of her said Husband in the Following Wording Viz.
A True and perfect Inventory of and Singular the goods and Chattels of Gideon Hamman of Scitutate in the County of Providence Yeoman who Departed this Life on ye 7th Day of March A D 1754: Appraised in said Scitutate the 23rd Day of said March by us ye Subscribers

Amos Hamman
The said Benjamin Fisk Jun r and Amos Hammon Both personally appearing Declared in Their Engagement that ye above Inventory was a True Appraisall of the personall Estate of ye said Gideon Hammon Decd. That was set Fourth to them and the aforesaid Hannah Hamman personally appearing in Council Declared Upon Engagement that she had put all of ye personall Estate of her aforesaid Decd Husband into ye above Inventory that was Come to her knowledge and that if any Thing More Thereof Does hereafter on Come to her Hands she will add the same to said Inventory Whereupon it is Voted that the above Inventory be accepted and allowed to be a good and Lawful Inventory to be Recorded And the said Hannah Hamman had Letters of Administration of the Personall Estate of her said Deceased Husband granted to her in the following Manner (Viz.)
These are in his Majestys Name George ye Second King over Great Britain do Authorize Order and Impower You ye said Hannah Hamman to Take into your Possession Care and Custody all and Singular the Goods Chattels Rights and Credits of your Husband ye said Gideon Hammon Deceased and the Same to Administer according to Law and in all Things to act and do as the Law Requireths and Imposseth on Administrators Relateing the premises and Time and Perfect accounts to Render to this Council or their Successors in said office how you Administered said Estate & with others Your Doeing Hereon and for your said Doeing this Shall be your Sufficient Authority ye Given by Town Council above said and Signed by order of said Council
