Benjamin Seamons deeded land to Gideon Hammond, Elizabeth's nephew on 4 Oct
1778 (Scituate deeds, 6:485). The genealogy of the Seamans family states that
the Elizabeth Hammond who married Benjamin Seamans was the daughter of
Jonathon Hammond and Katherine Davis of CT. Until I am able to confirm this,
I have left Benjamin Seamans as Elizabeth Hammond's husband. Perhaps one of
the Seamans descendants can research this further. Benjamin Seamans is given
as Elizabeth's husband in the Hammond family genealogy by F. S. Hammond.
