This Amos is referred to in records as Captain Amos, and his military record
is listed in F.S. Hammond's genealogy. Amos was admitted Scituate Freeman
in 1762. He later moved to Jerico (Hancock) Mass.
His sons Amos, Jr., Gideon & William moved with him to the Jerico (Hancock)
area.
