The ARQ newsletter. Helpful tips for your Internet experience.

Publishing with Netscape Composer
*note: Netscape Composer 6 does not come with an ftp program for uploading files. If you are a Netscape Composer 6 user and wish to publish your website, my recommendation is that you download CUTEFTP (http://www.cuteftp.com).

Publish Options

To publish your page, you can use the publish button and try to move files through Netscape. This will work for publishing. However, Composer does not let you see a list of files that you have already put in your account (unlike Dreamweaver) For this reason, to manage your account over time, you may want to switch editors or use af FTP program to get a better idea of what is in your account. See details below for using an FTP program.

Publishing with Composer

Save all of your work.

Click the Publish botton

Select your lead web document, which should be named index.html (all in lowercase)

Fill in the ftp://login.arq.net/web (for business accounts).

Fill in the ftp://login.arq.net/public_html (for residential accounts).

Type in your ARQ username and password.

Click the button for "Files associated with this page" and Select All. (This will transfer all attached images, and linked files to grace.)
